7 Players Van Gaal Will Try And Sell

9. Ashley Young

7. Ashley Young

The supersonic winger has fell on the United fans’ bad sides this year, after his poor performances for the club. He impressed when he first moved to Old Trafford back in the summer of 2011, but after failing to make an impact this season, after also being poor last season. Louis Van Gaal is famous for ‘standing for no nonsense’, and will dispose of Young at his first opportunity.

 8. Wilfred Zaha

6. Wilfred Zaha

Although Zaha only completed his transfer to United last summer, he was rarely used by Moyes when he was in charge, who didn’t seem to rate the young Englishman, resulting in Zaha being sent out on loan to Cardiff. It isn’t known whether that was the plan for him, but it does seem possible that he could leave in the summer. With United looking to bring in some world class names, he could very well be surplus to requirement, but the way Van Gaal operates, you never know.

6. Tom Cleverley

5. Tom Cleverley

The young midfielder grew up with United, yet he has struggled to do well with them, especially this season. Cleverley has come under extreme fire from United fans after failing to impress, and there was even a petition going around to get him kicked out of the England squad, which is laughable. All in all, with Van Gaal won’t stand for mediocrity and will lookto have a large clear-out of the squad, making it likely that Cleverley will not be there next season.

4. Antonio Valencia

Another one of Uniteds wingers being in contention for a summer clean-out, the Colombian has been poor this season, not being helped by his poor end product. A lot of United fans have started to get really frustrated with him, and it’s easy to see why. Nobody would be surprised if he moved in the summer, but to question is; where to? Van Gaal will certainly be looking to let him go, if he’s not up to standards.

3. Shinji Kagawa

3. Shinji Kagawa

The Japanese attacking midfielder came to United in the summer of 2012 with huge promise. However, he has struggled to adapt to the Premier League, and although some people argue that he doesn’t get enough playing time, when he has, he’s been poor. A summer exit is very possible. Although, with Van Gaal’s arrival, he may seek to make the best out of Kagawa, a great skill of his.

2. Nani

The Portuguese winger has had huge promise since he arrived at United in 2007, been hailed as the new Cristiano Ronaldo, however, he has struggled to live up to his potential, and inconsistencies have attracted criticism for him. With Van Gaal’s apparent big summer clear-out ready to happen, it’s hugely likely that he’ll be near the top of the list. The talent seems to be for Nani however, it’s just finding form that he needs, could Van Gaal bring some back?

1. Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez

1. Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez

Chicarito has always been an impact sub for United, but that’s pretty much all he’s been. Hailed for his fantastic poaching skills, the now 25 year old Mexican, is reportedly not happy at Old Trafford, and lack of first team starts, haven’t helped. Many reports are claiming that he is ready to leave in the summer, which wouldn’t surprise most people. Will Van Gaal seek to keep hold of him, and give him more time?
