No-one in the United camp will be doing cartwheels after a draw at Turf Moor but for those of the glass half full persuasion, it was a clean sheet and a point on the road.
Angel di Maria had an encouraging if not spectacular debut but what was patently obvious is the current United side is one bereft of the confidence of previous teams.
There's no denying that the Clarets were worthy of a share of the spoils this
afternoon. The home side were less of an attacking force in the second half
but defended sturdily when required and after losing their first two league
games of the season, Sean Dyche will not bemoan a point.
